Baby Steps
by Kaili Quinn
One little hand, tiny fingers,
reached up for the rocking chair,
A huge pull, a quiet sigh
as feet stood on the floor.
A shaky step, then another
toward outstretched arms.
A tiny laugh, a gentle smile--
a harsh fall.
One little hand, tiny fingers,
reached up for the rocking chair,
A huge pull, a quiet sigh
as feet stood on the floor.
A shaky step, then another
toward outstretched arms.
A tiny laugh, a gentle smile--
a harsh fall.
